BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum
Located at GM Place in downtown Vancouver close to the Public Library, the museum boasts attractions such as the HD Racing Simulator in the Greg Moore Gallery and a Participation Gallery that is great for families with its rock climbing wall, virtual sports simulator, running track and more.
What is the BC Sports Hall of Fame & Museum?
The BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum is a very good museum which showcases the amazing sporting achievements of British Columbian athletes from the early 1800’s to the present day. There are 20 different galleries, including those highlighted below.
What can you see at the BC Sports Hall of Fame & Museum?
- New for 2008, the Aboriginal Sport Gallery is a permanent addition to the Hall of Fame and Museum. It pays tribute to the Aboriginal peoples (including First Nations, Inuit and Metis) who have contributed and will contribute to the success of BC sports.
- The history galleries offer a fascinating look at sports throughout the years and include lots of original memorabilia, artifacts and equipment as well as Olympic gold medals, interactive displays and videos.
- If you’re an Indy racing fan you’ll love the new Greg Moore gallery which has an HD Racing Simulator and a real Indy racing car!
- Canadian heroes, Terry Fox and Rick Hansen have their own permanent galleries here.
- The Participation Gallery is lots of fun for children and adults with such attractions as a rock climbing wall, virtual sports simulator, running track and more.
Where is the BC Sports Hall of Fame & Museum?
The Hall of Fame and Museum is located within BC Place Stadium which is in the Yaletown area, at 777 Pacific Boulevard. Make your way to Gate A to gain entrance to the Hall of Fame and Museum.
You can easily get here by walking from the city center, or you can take the SkyTrain to the Stadium station.
